#cbloggers Secret Santa!

So this year was a weird one for me, not having a staff Christmas party to go to, and missing out on the fun, but often cringey office secret santa. I was really happy when I found out that it wasn't too late to join in with #CbloggerSecretSanta, organised by lovely Lauren of OhHayStudio, founder of Creative Bloggers.

We were each given a recipient, and a few facts about them, what they like/dislike (I must admit I didn't fill out my form very comprehensively - sorry Georgina!) and set to sending them a present containing at least one hand made item, and one shop bought.

Naturally, I was really excited when a pink and sparkly package arrived through my letter box! Georgina from Short and Sweet Art,  made me these Bad Ass stickers, and this super cute pin! I love it, looks great with my denim jacket. She also included lots of other goodies, like a super tasty wildflower lip balm (gorgeous!) some super sparkly washi tape (which I was so thankful for, because I have wanted some for ages!) a funky pen, two super cute hair grips, some cosy socks (which I love and no one else gave me socks!) Everything was so beautifully wrapped, and looked fantastic! Thanks Georgina!

She has some really lovely things in her shop - like this hand painted notebook! and this choker.

In all the excitement, I forgot to take decent pictures of what I sent to my lovely recipient, Laura from Cardboard Cities.

I sent her a hand bound notebook, a lovely lemon badge, a 'no lemon so sour' Print, and a selection of cards and wrapped it all in my 'pick and mix' wrapping paper. I also included a Barry M Nail Paint, that matched the binding thread on the notebook.

Bigs thanks to Lauren for organising it, and Georgina for my gifts!

Did you participate in a secret santa this year? What did you give? What did you get?

Hello 2017!

So long 2016!

I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling good about saying farewell to 2016 and looking ahead to the new year, so here are my resolutions for 2017

2017 resolutions!

One: First off, I want to send more happy post! Having recently moved from sunny old Devon in England, to beautiful Glasgow in Scotland, I want to stay in touch with family and friends by sending them something special - everybody loves happy post right?

Two: Every year I make reading a resolution, which isn't hard but is still nice to do! Apparently reading for 6 minutes a day can improve your mood and make you less stressed, so I figure if I read for 6 minutes every morning, I start everyday on the right foot.

Three: MAKE MORE! It's been a while since I have made anything, a drawing, a painting, a weird bit of knitting just to enjoy it. This year I want to spend more time making, and less time comparing what I make to what everyone else is making. If in doubt, just make something!

Four: Saving the best 'til last!

What are you planning on changing this year?
